“Skylark” is the beautifully resonant latest album by Portland, Maine recording artist James Day Leavitt. We were invited to herald James’ record into form in cassette, compact disc, and vinyl LP formats.

The music itself is transcendent, an orchestral freak-folk masterpiece which draws easy comparisons to the very best of Nick Drake’s ouevre.

Skylark features the masterful painting work of Madeline von Foerster, alongside photography by Ida Leavitt, and a heaping tablespoonful of typography by yours truly.
