Way back in 2009, I was approached by Mozilla to create the very first online specimen for webfonts, supported by Firefox 3.5. It sounded fun, but more fun to create with others, so I asked my dear friend Craig Mod to work on it with me, and I reached out to Underware, one of my favorite type foundries, to see if they might be interested in having their fabulous typefaces featured within.

Together, we created this handy-dandy guide to the @font-face CSS rule in all of it’s then-new glory.

The specimen still renders best in Firefox.
